I really wanted to be a supportive wife and be there on the sidelines to cheer him on, but he had to be there at 6:30am, and that's just WAY too early for me-- I mean, that's just way to early for the baby! Luckily, he's a very understanding husband and said there was no need to get the baby up that early.
Our ward at church had a pancake breakfast on Memorial Day, too. It started at 7:30am, which is still way too early for me- I mean, the baby- but I decided not to be lazy and go get some FREE food!
As I was in line to get food, I was holding Taylor in one arm and my plate in the other. I put a sausage patty on my plate, and Taylor immediately picked it up and started eating it. I got the rest of our food and then went to sit down. Then, I noticed that Taylor didn't have the sausage patty anymore. I said, "Taylor, did you throw your sausage on the floor?" Then, my friend Ashley reached over, picked some sausage off of my SHOULDER, and said, "Is this the sausage you're referring to??" (or something to that effect) haha I can't believe I was walking around with sausage on my shoulder, but at least it was still safe to eat. :-)
Taylor and I sat on the stage along with most of the other moms and kids. She always heads straight for the piano if there is one around.
The ward activity was supposed to be over at 9:00, but everyone was so into the volleyball game that we ended up staying longer. I even jumped in there for a few minutes at the very end and got a couple of hits. When we got home, Jared grilled some hamburgers and hot dogs for lunch, and we had some chili cheese tater tots to go along with it. Yum!! After that, we pretty much just relaxed the rest of the night and enjoyed time together as a family.
