Jared has been working on the fence for the last few weeks, just a day here or there when he had time and when it wasn't raining (which wasn't often). His brothers and a friend of ours have also come to help him. They finally got all of the posts up last weekend, and this week, Home Depot called and said the fence panels were in. So, yesterday, Jared started working at about 8:00am and worked all day long. Our friend, Dave (who Taylor has a huge crush on), came to help a little bit later, and the fence is pretty much complete now. All Jared has to do is put up a couple of gates, and we're all set! I am so excited, and it really looks great! They did an awesome job! I think our yard looks even better now, too. I think the fence gives it a nice clean look, and our next door neighbor just came by and said our yard looks even bigger now.
*Taylor working hard to help her daddy.*
They worked until about 5 or 5:30pm, so Jared was pretty sore afterwards, and he definitely looks like a black man now... haha Well, I guess I should say a black farmer because it's really just his face, neck, and arms that are really tan. Taylor is getting quite the tan herself. She definitely has her daddy's skin tone.
work in progress
On the left side of the picture, you can see our garden that Jared planted. We didn't think it was going to survive at first, but it's looking good now and is starting to produce some tomatoes and peppers so far.
It sure is nice having a husband who is quite a handyman and can do stuff like this himself and save us money by not having to hire a professional! and we're grateful for everyone who has helped us in the process!

It looks great!
Great job Jared. Thanks for sharing Debbie. It looks really good.
It does look great. I can't wait to see it in person next Sunday, and the deck too! You are really going to let Taylor out and about now... that will help you tremendously. We didn't have a yard with a fence until CA, Savannah was 3 and Christian 2. They played for hours and hours outside. Sometimes having a picnic for lunch because they didn't want to come even for that.
JEALOUS!!! I want a privacy fence so bad because I just don't feel comfortable letting Noah out in our yard by himself where anyone could see him. So, I have to go out with him or check on him every few minutes and stay close to the back door so I can hear him. The kids are going to love this at GC (and the mommies too!)
