My Beautiful Baby

Once again, I decided to enter Taylor into Regis & Kelly's Beautiful Baby contest. Can you blame me?? I know I'm very biased, being her mother and all, but dang- she's gorgeous! We just had some awesome family pictures taken back in October, but part of the rules include that the picture has to be taken within the last month and cannot be done by a professional photographer. So, naturally, I turn to the next best thing- my sil Alisha! She could be a professional photographer if she wanted to, and she just got a new camera so she's been anxious to try it out. (Thanks again, Alisha!!!)
We just took a little bit of time during one of our weekly garden club get togethers (the day before the contest deadline actually), and she caught a couple of good shots. Well, I'm sure she got more than a couple of good pictures, but Taylor was too busy having fun running around with her cousins and not really concerned with looking AT the camera. The above picture is the one that I entered into the contest.
The picture below is a classic picture of Taylor. She can give a pretty mean stare! So, if she ever looks at you this way, don't take it personally! haha She does it all the time!

I believe they announce their top 10 the first week of March. Then, people get to vote for which baby they like best. (If she makes it to the top 10, I will definitely be counting on you to vote!!) The top 5 all get to participate in a photoshoot, and then the producers of the show and the magazine editors decide who the winner is. The winner gets $125,000 towards college!!! Man, that would be nice!

In other news: to update you all on Taylor's surgery, we went back to the doctor yesterday. He said, "It's amazing how quickly kids heal up!" Taylor's surgery site was SOOO much better after just a week of the Silvadene cream. He said to continue the Silvadene for another week and then start Kelo-cote. Kelo-cote is a scar treatment ointment that is quite pricey!! It cost us $54 for an itty bitty tube. He said to use that twice a day for two months, and then after two months, we'll go back to see him again. Jared and I have been quite pleased with the way she has healed up so far and can't wait to see how this Kelo-cote does!

I've always thought she looks like a baby gap model! Hope she wins!

I'm glad she's healing well from her surgery. What a scary experience at such a young age!

She's beautiful - let me know when it is voting time. If she doesn't get in the top ones....I don't know what child should!

Hope all is well!
